We are not really a kennel per say. My son and I have a couple of what I consider very nice young hunting dogs, they are hunting dogs first and foremost and close family companions second. Some of the lines and or breeders of the lines I have come to admire and respect for my particular style of hunting, breed line-bred dogs or do out -crosses of dogs from off of DC Hillhaven Hustler / Westwind / No-Mars/ Hege-Haus  / Pottsiepen and or Pottmes lines or relatives of dogs from within these bloodlines, and produce GSP's known for their versatility and foot hunting qualities. My current and future dogs do and will come from these lines or breeders who line-breed or combine these lines in the future. I do hope that my current and future dogs will pass their health clearances and prove to be of such a valued hunting and breeding quality to me that sometime in the future, perhaps I may be able to produce a few litters creating my own bloodline from crossing some of  these well respected bloodlines. Originally the website was designed to provide a little information to others about our favorite breed and highlight our dogs activities and this is what I continue to strive for on our website today.

So why the name High Caliber Kennels / High Caliber GSP. com.

Simply put I take great effort in importing the best quality puppies from the  highest caliber breeders and bloodlines I can find throughout the world for our particular hunting style. In hopes of one day having the best German Shorthaired Pointers for our particular hunting style.

The Highest Caliber pups are imported no expense or effort spared in hopes that one day they will become HIGH CALIBER GUN DOGS, so far we are very pleased with the results. My research into breeders and GSP's has paid off and I personally am very happy with the results so far.

Hopefully you can find a little helpful information on this site regarding the Deutsch Kurzhaar, German Shorthaired Pointer, GSP, DK,  or German Shorthair as you may know them.
